Lower Kindergarten

Ages 20 months – 30 months

At this stage of development, children between the ages of 20 months and 30 months are becoming more independent and are at times seen to be ‘exploding’ with new abilities. Children go through bursts of growth in movement, communication and cognition. The aim of the Lower Kindergarten Class is to aid in the transition from ‘toddler’ to ‘child’. At this point in the program, the subjects begin to overlap and flow together. Children are encouraged to begin to make connections between topics as they progress.
